I just got back from a family vacation to Ecuador and the Galapagos. It was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of trip. We took around 18,000 photos using seven different cameras (excluding phones!), and I’ve been in the process of sorting through them all. While I do that, here are a small selection, of just a few of them, from our visit to Mariposas de Mindo in Mindo, Ecuador.
All of the photos below were taken by my sons.

These photos are just fantastic. Reminds me of the photos you would once see in “National Geographic”
Glad you had some time off!
Lastmod,
The time off was a major blessing. It was 10 days packed full of activities, fun, and relationship.
Our family had a subscription to National Geographic when I was a kid. It was my favorite magazine and I loved the photos. It is probably one of the main influences behind my own photography. I always wanted to be featured in National Geographic.
Ironically, National Geographic once ripped off one of my photos here.
I’ll be posting more photos later. This is just a small taste of all the photos we took, but it takes a while to go through them all.
Peace,
DR
